Book ahead
These are the attractions most likely to be fully booked, especially in summer, at Easter and during school holidays.
Sagrada Família – Tickets are for a set time slot, and tower tickets sell out first.
Park Güell – Entry to the Monumental Zone is by timed ticket, sold online only.
Casa Batlló – Tickets are for a set date and time, so booking ahead gives you more choice.
Picasso Museum – The free-admission sessions also need to be reserved online in advance.
Buy online for discounts or to skip the queue
Buying online can sometimes save queuing at the ticket office or offer a discount.
Barcelona Aquarium – Book online to skip the line.
Barcelona Zoo – Book online for 10% off.
Barcelona Bus Turístic – Book online for 10% off.

Airport transfers

No booking needed
Barcelona’s public beaches, neighbourhood parks and playgrounds and food markets such as La Boqueria and Santa Caterina are free to visit, as are the streets of the Gothic Quarter and El Born. The Magic Fountain show and El Born Cultural Centre are free too. See our free things to do guide.
