Mercat de la Boqueria
Barcelona’s most famous market, on La Rambla, has stalls selling fruit, sweets, cheese, meats and seafood. It’s open from Monday to Saturday. Visit early if you’re bringing a pushchair, as the aisles get crowded from mid-morning. 📍 Map

This market in El Born is much quieter than La Boqueria, and a top pick for families with good cafés and space to wander. Opening hours vary through the week, so check before you go. It is just across the way from the large open square in front of the Gothic Quarter cathedral. 📍 Map
Mercat de Sant Antoni
A restored market with plenty of room. Monday to Saturday, the food stalls inside sell fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and fish, with clothing, shoes, accessories and household goods on the stalls around the outside.
On Sunday mornings the outside stalls change to second-hand books, comics, trading cards, stamps and collectibles, and collectors gather to swap football stickers, Pokémon cards and more. A fun experience if your children collect cards or stickers. 📍 Map
