Sagrada Família

Gaudí started the Sagrada Família in 1882 and it’s still being built. Inside, the columns branch out like trees and the windows throw out coloured light. Tickets are sold online only and time slots often sell out days ahead, especially at weekends and in school holidays.

Visiting Sagrada Família with Kids

On sunny days, the stained glass fills the basilica with coloured light. There’s plenty to look at, from the branching columns to animals carved into the façades. Standard entry lets you explore the basilica at your own pace. The audioguide isn't adapted for children under 10, but there is a shorter 25-minute express version for adults. A guided tour is worth considering with older children and teenagers who are interested in architecture or history, but younger children may find the 50-minute tour a little long. You can book either option at the links on this page.
