Using the Hola Barcelona Travel Card with Kids

Hola Barcelona Travel Card

What it covers

The Hola Barcelona card gives unlimited travel for 24, 48, 72, 96 or 120 hours from the first time you use it. It covers the metro, city buses, night buses, trams, and FGC and Rodalies trains in zone 1, plus the Montjuïc funicular. The Montjuïc cable car isn’t included.

Prices

Prices start from €17.76 for 2 days when you buy online, with 5% off. There’s no child price, so everyone aged 4 and over needs their own card, while under-4s travel free.

Is it right for your family?

Hola is a good choice if you’ll use the metro and buses several times a day. It also covers the airport metro, which normally needs a special ticket. For lighter use, the T-familiar (8 journeys shared by the whole group) can work out cheaper. See our metro, buses and trains guide.

  • Choose Hola if: you’ll ride several times a day, or you’re taking the metro from the airport.

  • Choose the T-familiar if: you’ll mostly walk and only take a few trips.

  • Choose the Barcelona Card if: you’d like free museum entry as well as transport. See our Barcelona Card guide.

How to collect it

After you buy, you’ll get a voucher code by email. Swap it for your card at any metro ticket machine, including at the airport. The card is personal, so each person needs their own.

Swap your voucher at the airport metro machine; the card’s hours only start when you first tap in.

Prices may be subject to change, so please check before you buy.
